The Magic Broom:

Floors and small rugs can be easily swept. Why lug out a heavy energy-guzzling vacuum cleaner and have your ears blasted when a broom is a quick grab and calmly allows the bits of life on the floor to be easily gathered. Of course, TV ads tell you that you need to wet mop your floors with mighty fine chemicals so that the floors shine. Would shiny floors be a goal in life if we weren’t bombarded with unrealistic images? My floors are usually swept, with sometimes a monthly vacuuming for rugs, and the drip spots are wiped off with a rag that is moistened with grey water. No drinking water. Yes!
